NASCAR comes down on a team with fines and penalties after a top three Martinsville finish

Clint Bowyer and the number 14 team finished third at Martinsville, but that great finish didn't last long. That's because, as MRN.com reports:

The team was in violation of Section 20.18.5.2 in the NASCAR Rule Book after it was found that the TV Video Package simulated weight did not meet NASCAR specifications.

On top of that third place finish being encumbered, crew chief Michael Bugarewicz was fined $25,000 and suspended for a race. NASCAR also docked the team 10 driver's and owner's points.

Not being a part of the playoffs, the third place finish had to feel great for Bowyer and his team, and having that taken away adds insult to injury as they are finishing out their year with nothing to race for but pride (and cash, of course).
