After 10 years, a prized special edition Ford Mustang has been seen cruising the streets of Chicago

The Mustang Bullitt is one of the coolest special edition Mustangs of all time thanks to Frank Bullitt in the iconic 1968 film. Ford has kept us waiting for ten years, but it finally seems like the Bullitt is back!

Thanks to Car and Driver and Mustang6g.com user "Bullitt," we have photos of the Highland Green Mustang cruising lower wacker drive in Chicago during a photo shoot. The spoiler free stang is wearing updated 2018 body panels and we see that the Bullitt will keep the special crosshair badge in the rear. To stay true to the original, the new Bullitt is equipped with the retro five spoke wheels, and sports some mean looking Brembo brake calipers, black exhaust tips and debadged front fenders.

It's likely the Bullitt will only be available in 5.0 Coyote form with a slight bump in horsepower over the standard GT. The last Bullitt in 2008 had 315 horsepower compared to 300 horsepower in the GT. If you're wondering why they chose winter time in Chicago for a photo shoot, it may have something to do with the 2018 Chicago Auto Show in February. If not, then let's hope we get a Bullitt 2 movie with a sweet chase scene through downtown Chicago.
