Alpine is back. The rumors have been swirling but it is finally official, and comes with numbers. Such wonderful, beautiful numbers. A mid mounted engine will produce 252 horsepower and the car will only weigh 2,381 lbs. Made mostly from aluminum, the car has a 44/56 weight distribution with the majority of the weight above the rear driven wheels. It hangs on to the classic A110 name, a throwback to the car's rally racing inspiration. The car will unfortunately only available with a dual clutch automatic transmission and is unlikely to come to the United States. Wherever you can buy the Alpine, it will be a welcome alternative to the Afla Romeo 4c and Porsche Cayman in the tragically small lightweight sports car segment. Oh yeah, and it is absolutely stunning to look at.
