Race car's tire explodes during practice, resulting in horrific crash

This is never, ever good.

Romain Grosjean was involved in a frightening wreck during Formula 1's second practice in Malaysia. With just over 20 minutes left in practice, Grosjean hit a loose drain cover that punctured his right-rear tire and sent him slamming into the wall.

Shockingly, Grosjean was uninjured.

"I didn't see anything. I was just on the racing line and then suddenly I had a big hit on my rear right," Grosjean said in remarks reported by Fox Sports."Next thing I know the tire wasn't there any more and I was spinning and heading for the wall."

Officials cancelled the rest of practice as they inspected the track.
