Porsche stepped in it back in 2014 when it offered only an automatic transmission in the GT3 - and purists were not too happy. Now, that sound you hear is a sigh of relief. The manual is back.
The Porsche is also speedy, going from 0 to 60 in 3.8 second with a top speed of 198 using the six speed manual. The seven-speed gets you to 60 in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 197 MPH. The 4.0-liter engine produces 500 horsepower with 339 lb-ft of torque
The change back to manual has been met with praise.
Road and Track reported the new 911 GT3 starts at $144,650 and should be in showrooms this fall.
