Randy Moss is one of the best wide receivers to play in the NFL. Don't just take my word, believe the folks who just elected Moss to the Hall of Fame. Video of Moss being told of his election is posted on YouTube.

But how many NASCAR fans remember Moss's intersection with racing? Moss was co-owner of Randy Moss Motorsports with David Dollar in the Camping World Truck Series from 2008 to 2012. Moss grew up in West Virginia a racing fan and saw team ownership as a natural for his passion.

"There are a lot of NASCAR fans in the locker room," Moss told Fox Sports in 2009. "We've seen a lot of football players get involved -- guys like Dan Marino and Troy Aikman, to name a couple. I think it's a good fit and gives some of the companies I am already working with an additional outlet."

Moss jumped in and was an active owner when he wasn't playing football. He changed the truck number from 46 to 81 to reflect his jersey number and was a common fixture in the garage. He got involved in all aspects of ownership, especially trying to secure sponsorships. Mike Skinner and Travis Kvapil were the drivers for RMM but had limited success.

The team closed shop in 2012 and former crew chief Richie Wauters purchased the equipment and owners points.
