Kyle Larson's High Limit Racing heading to Australia

High Limit Racing, the sprint car series created by Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet, is taking on a new territory as it heads to Australia.

This deal, made in partnership with Perth Motorplex in Western Australia, will see top dirt racers facing off for an Australian sprint car record $100,000. The international event will take place on Dec. 28, 29, and 30, and it will feature at least six Kubota High Limit Racing drivers.

Larson will headline the entry list as he competes for the first time at the Western Australian track. The lineup also includes Sweet, Cory Eliason, Parker Price-Miller, Rico Abreu, and James McFadden.

Some of Australia's top sprint car drivers will be on hand. This preliminary list already includes Callum Williamson, Dayne Kingshott, and Jason Kendrick.

"All of us at High Limit are excited to take the first step in expanding our brand to an international level," Larson said in a press release.

"Australian sprint car fans are passionate and super supportive. They deserve a six-figure paying race as do the Australian drivers and teams. I'm looking forward to getting down there with Brad (Sweet) and some of our High Rollers to race with those guys."

According to the announcement, this international event will not count toward the Kubota High Limit Racing point standings. It will solely be a special event as Larson and Sweet try to make their racing series a global brand.

Larson and current points leader Sweet announced the creation of High Limit Racing in October 2022. The first full season, 2023, featured 12 events. Ten had a $23,023-to-win prize and an $80,000 prize purse. Two marquee events had a $50,000-to-win prize.

High Limit Racing expanded to 60 nationwide events for this season, starting at East Bay Raceway Park in February. The schedule includes stops at Eldora Speedway, Grandview Speedway, Kokomo Speedway, Lucas Oil Speedway, and I-70 Speedway among others.

The High Limit Racing championship weekend will take place at Texas Motor Speedway on Oct. 11-12.
