Harley-Davidson takes over Milwaukee for massive festival

The biggest names in music, motorcycles, and action sports will descend upon Milwaukee this weekend for the Harley-Davidson Homecoming festival.

Held at Veterans Park, the Harley-Davidson Homecoming will feature multiple days of live concerts, museum tours, tattoos, and meet-and-greets. The biggest names from Nitro Circus and a select group of Monster Energy athletes will put on multiple live performances as they pull off extreme stunts.

The concert portion of the festival features a packed lineup on both Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27. Jelly Roll, HARDY, Warren Zeiders, and Priscilla Block will perform on the Willie G. Davidson stage on Friday. Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Offspring, Cypress Hill, and Destroy Boys will then take over the stage on Saturday.

The Nitro Circus athletes will perform on both Friday and Saturday with their "Everything Flies" show. Athletes will do flips and other tricks on skateboards, BMX bikes, and a variety of custom-built contraptions.

The Monster Energy athletes will also put on multiple freestyle motocross performances. This lineup will include top athletes from around the world, such as Axell Hodges, Jarryd McNeil, Taka Higashino, and Keith Sayers.

The two lineups will take part in a wild crossover event during the Harley-Davidson Homecoming. According to the description, the freestyle motocross, BMX, and skateboard athletes will each execute a backflip as they cross paths in mid-air.

The description states that the freestyle motocross riders will jump 40 feet in the air as they cover 75 feet in distance. The BMX riders and skateboarders will travel 40 feet in distance while jumping 40 feet in the air.

Some of these standout athletes have spent time ahead of the Homecoming festival showing off where they practice their tricks. Andy Buckworth, Scotty "Scrub" Miller, and Brody Wilson have each taken part in videos for Nitro Circus and Harley-Davidson to help create anticipation for the Homecoming festival.

The location of the festival is fitting for Harley-Davidson. The company's headquarters and original factory reside on W Juneau Ave in Milwaukee. The Harley-Davidson Museum is on W Canal Ave in Milwaukee, providing fans of the motorcycle company with opportunities to learn its history.
