Here are the highlights from the first playoff race of 2017 at Chicagoland

In case you missed the first playoff race of the 2017 postseason on Sunday at Chicagoland, NASCAR.com has condensed the highlights into a 15-minute video with every major event from the race.

It was an altogether uneventful race as far as crashes or major drama are concerned, and it was dominated by two drivers who have dominated the entire season: Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch.

Busch led for 85 of the first 87 laps and won the first stage before encountering problems with one of his wheels. Busch was also penalized for his crew going over the wall too soon.

Chase Elliott won the second stage of the race in search of his first Cup Series victory, but he couldn't hold on in the final stage. Martin Truex Jr. dominated the last third of the race en route to his fifth win of the season.

Truex automatically advanced to the Round of 12. The Round of 16 has two races remaining, and four drivers will miss the cut. As of today, those four drivers would be Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman, Kasey Kahne and Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

The next playoff race is Sunday, Sept. 24 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway at 2 p.m. ET.
