With organizational testing underway at Las Vegas Speedway things are looking good for the new Chevy Camaro ZL1.

Of the 16 drivers in the two-day tire test at the Vegas speedway, Kyle Larson is making people take notice of the new Camaro. Larson posted the fastest time on Wednesday with a lap of 188.403 mph in the afternoon session, according to Yahoo Sports.

William Byron was just behind Larson with a lap of 188.298 mph in the morning session and Ryan Newman was third at 188.186 mph also in the morning session. One thing to note of the three fastest drivers -- they were all driving Chevrolets.

"It seems fine," Larson said about his new ride. "It doesn't seem too much different than the other car."

"Maybe it will be different once we get in traffic and stuff, but at a test you don't really get to simulate that," Larson added. "It seemed to have good speed."

It will be interesting to see how things play out this season with the introduction of the new Chevy Camaro ZL1. Many feel it will give Toyota a run for its money. We'll find out when they lineup at Daytona in a few weeks.
