When most race fans think of Daytona and Dale Earnhardt Jr., they think about 2001, when he won the race just five months after his legendary dad died in the same track in a tragic accident.

But Dale Jr. came back and won Daytona in 2014, and it was thrilling.

With two laps to go, Dale Jr. was at the front of the restart and quickly forged ahead. He held off a hard-charging Brad Keselowski and others, and just before he crossed the finish  line, a wreck in back of him meant the race ended under yellow.

Didn't matter. Dale Jr. won at Daytona again, and it's one of the better moments of an outstanding career that ends on Sunday at Homestead,
