Martin Truex Jr. starts his championship drive by hitting the wall at Homestead

Martin Truex Jr. was zipping around the track, enjoying a solid practice, and then, the wall reached out and grabbed him.

Ouch. Running into the wall is never good,  but it looks like Truex Jr. may have caught a break. The damage couod be fairly minimal.

That as the one piece of bad news. The good news: His practice time was fastest of all championship drivers, third overall.

The other four championship drivers were well behind.  Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick were 10th, 16th and 17th, respectively.
