We now know who bought the No. 77 charter from Furniture Row Racing

We know that Furniture Row Racing sold its No. 77 charter and we know the team will be down to one car in 2018.

But we didn't know who purchased the charter.

As per ESPN, JTG Daugherty Racing has purchased the charter for Chris Buescher, the driver of the No. 37 Chevrolet. ESPN said team owner Tad Geschickter confirmed the switch, which must be approved by NASCAR.

Chris Buescher, 24, is one of those up and coming young guns teams gravitate to. He's already won the ARCA title (2012) and Xfinity (2015) and this season, JTG thought so much of him they added a second car with him in the driver's seat in 2016. (AJ Allmendinger drives the No. 47).

No word on what the charter cost JTG.

A happy day for JTG is a sad one for FRR, which on Wednesday announced, in its website, it will be a one-car team in 2018.

"As Furniture Row Racing looks ahead to the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season, the Denver, Colo. based team is not planning to field the No. 77 Toyota as a second car entry," co-owner Barney Visser said in a statement on the team's website.  "It is our organization's goal to operate a two-car team in the future and we will continue to seek sponsorship funding for the No. 77. Our 100 percent focus for next season will be on the No 78 Toyota Camry, which will be driven by Martin Truex Jr."
