As 2017 winds down, Chip Ganassi Racing is inching closer to a major milestone in racing. The team is one win away from win No. 200 after victory No. 199 last weekend at the FIA World Endurance Championship in China.
Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell led the team to victory last week in Shanghai, and the team will look for win No. 200 at Phoenix in the NASCAR Cup Series this weekend. Kyle Larson has four wins this season, and while his car has failed him in recent weeks, he is still capable of winning one of the next two races.
Jamie McMurray could also bring home win No. 200 for the team to close out the Cup Series season.
Chip Ganassi Racing has teams in multiple series, including the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity, IndyCar, the WEC and the IMSA series.

CGR managing director Mike Hull told Racer.com the team doesn't think about reaching milestones each and every day, and they will continue working hard to add on to their success.
"I really like it when we learn we've reached a new milestone, or have one in front of us, but I think I speak for every Chip Ganassi Racing employee when I say it isn't something we think about in our day to day roles," Hull said.
"When we're on a timing stand, or on pit lane, we're just trying to win the next one, and that's because we're an organization that Chip has built to win wherever we race. Because of that, the wins have piled up, and that's what's expected by each and every one of us. That's not a statement based on ego. That's based on work taking place in every building that houses one of our teams."
Ganassi formed his own CART team in 1990, and it rose to prominence behind Michael Andretti and Juan Pablo Montoya early on. Sterling Marlin gave the team its first NASCAR win in 2001, and many have since followed.
Win No. 200 is coming likely sooner rather than later, and it's a testament of all the hard work Ganassi and his team have put in over the years.
