Caitlin Clark takes over Josh Berry's Cup car

The No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford Mustang will have a new look at Indianapolis Motor Speedway as Caitlin Clark takes over the scheme.

The No. 1 overall pick in this year's WNBA Draft will be on the hood of Josh Berry's Ford Mustang, along with text reading "Raining 3s." Panini America, the official trading card partner of NASCAR, will have logos on the rear of the race car while serving as the primary partner.

Panini has a partnership deal with Clark, who is averaging 16.8 points per game in her first season with the Indiana Fever. This deal includes her "Raining 3s" trading card, which features her during her record-breaking tenure at Iowa.

Berry will showcase the WNBA All-Star as he takes on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval for the first time in NASCAR. He has experience on the road course from his time in Xfinity, but he has not yet competed on the prestigious big track.

"I've been there before on the road course, but getting to race on the oval is really special just because of the history of the track and how important it is in our sport," Berry said in a press release.

"As a kid, you look at some of those bigger tracks with the status they carry and you dream of racing there and, this Sunday, I get to make that a reality. It's just a really cool thing for me because, a few years ago, I accepted I wouldn't make it to this level and now I get to go race on Sundays at some of the most prestigious tracks."

Berry's crew chief, for comparison, has extensive experience at The Brickyard with considerable success. Rodney Childers has been atop the pit box for 16 races at the 2.5-mile oval. His drivers have finished top 10 in nine of those races.

Childers and Kevin Harvick also won the last two Cup races at Indianapolis before NASCAR moved the races to the road course.
