The Roadster was the first car Tesla ever built. Constructed on a Lotus chassis platform, the Roadster cost about $130,000 bucks, had none of the bells and whistles one would expect to find in a contemporary Tesla like its iconic center display or autonomous driving features, and had a range of only about 200 miles or so. It had very few early adopters and most thought Tesla was destined to fail. But those fateful few who got in on the ground floor, these cars were awesome and now you can see why.
