The late 1990s was a weird time full of Jnco jeans, boy bands, and lots of CDs from America Online. Unsurprisingly, the weirdest car of the last 30 years hit the road around the same time. Take a look at this 1999 Plymouth Prowler, a strange little roadster that can't quite figure out what decade it's in. While America was producing some of the blandest cars of all time, Chrysler, the blandest of the bland, came out with the Prowler and made it's signature color a plum purple. Produced from 1997-1999, this rear-wheel drive 2 seater featured a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 3.5L V-6 from a Chrysler 300M. It's basically Frankenstein's monster made from the Chrysler 300M, Dodge Intrepid, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Viper, and almost every other vehicle in Chrysler's arsenal. It just gets weirder from there.
