Dubai is certainly a city built on extravagance. They're known for always flaunting their enormous wealth and if the city police force is any indication, they doing a good job of it. The police department has a fleet of $1.6 million dollar Bugatti Veyrons. The car is capable of hitting 267 MPH and can go 0-60 MPH in 2.5 seconds. However, these care aren't used to chase down criminals or any other actual police work. Instead, they're primarily used as a public relations stunt. They drive the fleet around town to show off the police presence or they escort various celebrities or VIPs around town. Dubai certainly knows how to throw money at spectacle.
