Truck Series joins forces with IndyCar during 2026 season

The Craftsman Truck Series teams will take on new territory during the 2026 season as they join forces with the NTT IndyCar Series for a crossover weekend.

NASCAR released the three national series schedules on Wednesday ahead of a busy weekend at Daytona International Speedway. All three series saw significant changes to their respective schedules. The Truck Series, in particular, added two street races. The first of these will be the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

The NTT IndyCar Series 2026 season kicks off Feb. 27 - March 1 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Qualifying will take place on Saturday, Feb. 28, which will lead directly into the first Truck Series street race in history. Fox Sports will air both the Truck Series race and the IndyCar Series season opener.

Other changes to the Truck Series schedule include the first race at Dover Motor Speedway since the 2020 season and the trip to San Diego for a tripleheader weekend. Darlington Raceway moves to the spring while Kansas Speedway moves back to the fall.

The Truck Series teams lose the race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the spring race at Martinsville Speedway, and the race at Pocono Raceway.
