Unless you have been living under a rock over the past few years, you have probably heard of the Takata airbag inflator recall. It is the largest recall in US history, affecting around 42 million vehicles from 19 different manufacturers. Chemicals inside the inflator can degrade when exposed to humidity which can cause the inflator to rupture, sending metal into the cabin.

Now, it's even bigger. The Detroit Free Press reports that 3.3 million new inflators have been added to the list. The newly added inflators can be found in 2009, 2010 and 2013 vehicles from Honda, Toyota, Audi, BMW, Daimler Vans, Fiat Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Jaguar-Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru and Tesla.

If you have cars from any of these manufacturers, you should visit SaferCar.gov and enter your VIN to see if your car is included. You could also call your local dealership and they can check for you as well.

Even if you have already checked your car when the recall first began, it might be worth checking again since cars keep being added to the list.
