SVG, Busch, Bell, Zilisch headline stacked Watkins Glen entry lists

All three national NASCAR series are in action this weekend at Watkins Glen International. According to the entry lists, all three races will feature stacked lineups with some of NASCAR's biggest names pulling double duty.

The weekend begins on Friday with a Craftsman Truck Series race at the New York road course. This race will feature the expected playoff contenders such as Corey Heim, Ty Majeski, Chandler Smith, and Grant Enfinger. It will also have multiple drivers from other series.

Xfinity regulars Sammy Smith (Spire Motorsports), William Sawalich (Tricon Garage), and Connor Zilisch (Niece Motorsports) will all compete in the Truck race. So will Christopher Bell (Halmar Friesen Racing), Kyle Busch (Spire Motorsports), Ross Chastain (Niece Motorsports), and Chris Buescher (ThorSport Racing).

This race weekend marks Buescher's Truck Series debut. It also marks surprise starts for Bell and Zilisch. Bell will replace an injured Stewart Friesen while Zilisch will replace Kaden Honeycutt after Niece Motorsports released him.

The Xfinity Series race will feature a similarly stacked entry list. It already has multiple regulars with wins, such as Zilisch, Justin Allgaier, Austin Hill, Sam Mayer, and Brandon Jones.

The Xfinity entry list also includes guest drivers in Shane van Gisbergen (JR Motorsports), Michael McDowell (Kaulig Racing), Riley Herbst (Joe Gibbs Racing), Kaz Grala (Sam Hunt Racing), Austin Green (Jordan Anderson Racing), and Stefan Parsons (Alpha Prime Racing).

McDowell is a newer addition to the stacked entry list. He will help Kaulig Racing evaluate its Xfinity program after the team released Josh Williams.

Now for the Cup Series entry list, which remains stacked due to the number of road course winners who compete full-time at NASCAR's top level. However, four extra drivers will compete this weekend while filling out the starting grid.

Katherine Legge and Zilisch headline this quartet. Legge is fresh off her career-best Cup Series finish of 17th in the Brickyard 400. She will make her sixth start this season for Live Fast Motorsports and her fourth on a track with left and right turns.

Zilisch will pull triple duty this weekend while making his return to the Cup Series. He will drive the No. 87 for Trackhouse Racing while making his fourth start of the season. His last outing took place at EchoPark Speedway where he finished a career-best 11th.
