The race marks the 91st time Cup teams will compete at The Tricky Triangle. Denny Hamlin is the defending winner and NASCAR's all-time leader in Pocono wins with seven trips to victory lane.
Chase Elliott won the first Next Gen race at Pocono after NASCAR disqualified Hamlin and Kyle Busch in 2022.

Buescher, who scored his first career Cup win at Pocono in 2016, holds the final spot above the playoff cutline. He has a 45-point advantage over Bubba Wallace, the first driver outside of the playoffs. Ross Chastain is 53 points ahead of Wallace while Gibbs is 84 points ahead of Wallace. Truex is 125 points above the cutline.
