NASCAR's biggest Star Wars fan got the hookup for the world premier

Ryan Blaney is known as a pretty big Star Wars fan. In fact, MRN.com notes that he wore a Star Wars-themed tie with his tuxedo to the NASCAR XFINITY and Camping World Truck Series Banquet in 2015.

Unfortunately for Blaney, he has a cruise scheduled for the debut weekend of the latest installment in the series, "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." But you don't race at the highest level of stock car racing without making a few connections, and NASCAR helped get Blaney into the world premier in Los Angeles.

"I'm pumped up to go out there," Blaney said. "I went to the 'Justice League' premiere after Phoenix and NASCAR hooked that up. I begged them to go to the 'Force Awakens' premiere and we couldn't make it happen. It's pretty cool we could make this happen. It's going to be great."

Blaney's first experience with the series, "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace," had him hooked from a young age.

"I was six or seven and at the time, your mind is kind of developing of what you like and don't like, and it's just something I liked and got hooked on," Blaney said. If the oft-ridiculed prequels could have that effect, he must be a huge fan.
