The long wait is over; the time has come for NASCAR fans to celebrate the start of the season. Thirty-eight weeks of racing begin with Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway.
Unlike the rest of the NASCAR schedule, Speedweeks starts in the middle of the week with Cup Series cars getting on track. The other two national series, as well as ARCA, then join in on the fun while barreling toward the weekend.

Wednesday forecast: The WeatherUnderground forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high of 82 degrees and a 16% chance of rain throughout the day.
Thursday forecast: The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies in the morning with a chance of rain showers in the afternoon. A high of 70 degrees and a 49% chance of rain at the start of the Duels.
Friday forecast: The forecast calls for cloudy skies with a chance of rain showers in the afternoon. A high of 68 degrees and a 20% chance of rain at the start of the Truck Series race.
Saturday forecast: The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies throughout the day. A high of 75 degrees and a 6% chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity Series race.
Sunday forecast: The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a chance of rain showers in the afternoon. A high of 76 degrees and a 32% chance of rain at the start of the Daytona 500.
