Stenhouse Jr. to Hocevar: 'I'm going to beat your a--'

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Carson Hocevar had seemingly put past run-ins behind them. However, the Hyak Motorsports driver promised to beat his fellow driver after the trip to Mexico City.

Stenhouse delivered this message immediately after crossing the line in 27th place at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. He stormed over to Hocevar's No. 7 Chevrolet, and he leaned into the window. Judging by his expression, this was not a congratulatory message.

"I'm going to beat your ass" Stenhouse told Hocevar, which the in-car camera audio revealed. "You're a lap down! You've got nothing to do. Why did you run right into me?"

The source of Stenhouse's anger this week was an incident in the stadium section of the track. Hocevar hit the No. 47 from behind and sent it spinning on Lap 90. Once Stenhouse got turned around, he told his team over the radio to let Hocevar know that he would see him in Pocono.

Hocevar tried to take the blame after the race, but Stenhouse cut him off while yelling, "Second time! I don't give a damn! I don't give a damn! I'm going to beat your ass when we get back to the States!"

This isn't the first time that the two drivers have butted heads after a NASCAR race. A previous incident occurred on Lap 106 of the Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville Superspeedway on June 1.

Hocevar moved to Stenhouse's inside while trying to make the pass. As Stenhouse began to move back down the track, Hocevar hit him and sent the No. 47 Chevrolet into the wall.

This wreck marked Stenhouse's first DNF of the season, and it led to comments about how Hocevar was "over-aggressive." The two drivers had a conversation in the week leading to Michigan International Speedway, which Hocevar called productive. He said that they both had reputations for being aggressive and that they had raced each other well in the past.

Hocevar added that he did not expect any retaliation for this incident at Nashville Superspeedway. Based on Stenhouse's comments in Mexico City, the situation could be quite different moving forward to Pocono Raceway next week.
