The King got black flagged for his mistake at Darlington

Richard Petty drove his 1967 Plymouth Belvedere out on track at Darlington Raceway as an honorary pace car as a cool start to the throwback themed race. The King is so used to leading a pack of cars around the track, however, he didn't want to come back off when the pace laps were over.

The 80 year old apparently stayed out for an extra lap and received the black flag to remove him from the race that we're sure he was ready to dominate in his 50 year old Plymouth. In '67, that Belvedere took Petty to 10 straight wins and it was an awesome sight to see it out on track again.
