Richard Childress Racing poised for milestone win

Richard Childress Racing is poised to reach a significant NASCAR milestone this season. The team can be the third to reach 100 wins in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

The historic organization enters Homestead-Miami Speedway with 99 wins in NASCAR's second-tier series. This is the third-most. RFK (Roush Fenway Keselowski) Racing has posted 138 wins since 1990 while working through some organizational changes.

Joe Gibbs Racing has the most Xfinity Series wins in NASCAR history. Numerous drivers have combined to win 216 races since 1998. Kyle Busch has delivered the majority. Rowdy scored 91 of his 102 Xfinity wins in a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

Richard Childress Racing, for comparison, posted its first Xfinity Series win in 2000. Kevin Harvick won at World Wide Technology Raceway and then he scored wins at Bristol Motor Speedway and Memphis Motorsports Park later that season.

Harvick delivered the majority of wins to the championship-winning organization. He posted 35 of his 47 Xfinity wins in a Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet. The rest of his wins were split between his team (five), JR Motorsports (six), and Stewart-Haas Racing with Biagi-DenBeste (one).

Other drivers who won races for RCR included Austin Dillon, Jeff Burton, Ty Dillon, Clint Bowyer, Ron Hornaday Jr., Jeff Green, Jeff Purvis, Johnny Sauter, Scott Wimmer, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tyler Reddick, Elliott Sadler, Brendan Gaughan, Tony Stewart, Paul Menard, Michael McDowell, Myatt Snider, Hill, and Love.

Reddick, Austin Dillon, and Bowyer each won the Xfinity championship for RCR. Harvick won the title twice -- once in 2001 and once in 2006.

Richard Childress Racing is not the only team with an opportunity to reach this milestone during the 2025 season. JR Motorsports enters Homestead-Miami Speedway with 90 Xfinity Series wins, two of which the team secured this season.

Rookie Connor Zilisch won at Circuit of the Americas and reigning champion Justin Allgaier won last weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

JR Motorsports has two wins through the first five races of the 2025 season. Will this put the four-car team on pace to reach the milestone of 100 wins?

The answer remains unclear. Zilisch could certainly win more road course races as he adapts to stock car racing while Allgaier will enter most weekends as a favorite to win.

Rookie Carson Kvapil has been in contention in the majority of races this season before something unexpected relegated him to finishes of 17th or worse. Third-year driver Sammy Smith has two wins in 80 career starts -- one at Phoenix and one at Talladega.
