The NASCAR Cup Series entry list will expand during the trip to Chicago. Reigning Supercars champion Will Brown will attempt to make his second NASCAR start during the third-annual street race.
According to a press release, Brown will join Kaulig Racing for the event. He will drive the No. 13 Chevrolet Camaro. MobileX and Shaw and Partners Financial Services will serve as his primary sponsors for the event as he becomes teammates with Ty Dillon and AJ Allmendinger.
Brown joins Kaulig Racing after capturing last season's Supercars championship. He won five events and scored 19 podium finishes while driving for Red Bull Ampol Racing.
"This is an amazing opportunity for Kaulig Racing to compete for a win in one of the most prestigious events on the calendar," said team owner Matt Kaulig. "We are so excited to have Will (Brown) race with us and compete for the trophy. The team is ready, and we know he has the talent."

Brown made his Cup Series debut last season during a trip to California. He joined Richard Childress Racing at Sonoma Raceway and showcased impressive speed. However, multiple electrical issues disrupted his race weekend and relegated him to a 31st-place finish.
Despite the issues, Brown said he had enjoyed the racing at Sonoma and that it reminded him of Supercars competition. He expressed interest in making a return to the NASCAR ranks.
The Chicago race weekend provides Brown with another opportunity to showcase his abilities behind the wheel, and it will provide a reunion with fellow Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen, who won the inaugural Chicago Street Race.
After watching SVG win the 2023 Chicago NASCAR race and getting to drive myself at Sonoma last year, I've been really keen to have a go at the Grant Park 165," Brown said in a press release.
"The Supercars calendar aligned this year to give me time to get over to Charlotte early to prepare and give the race a crack! I have watched Kaulig Racing closely this season, and I'm really excited to get behind the wheel of the MobileX and Shaw and Partners Financial Services No. 13!"
Brown is the second Supercars driver to confirm a NASCAR start this season. Jack Perkins recently announced that he will join Joe Gibbs Racing for the Xfinity Series race at Portland International Raceway later this summer.
