December and January are months of rest and relaxation for the NASCAR Cup Series drivers and Chase Elliott is looking forward to soaking up this time.

This year, the 2017 Daytona 500 pole sitter is especially excited about being able to enjoy sharing a schedule with his family and friends.

“We spend a lot of the year with complete backwards schedules from everyone else,” Elliott shared. “It’s kind of nice to spend a couple months where you can kind of get on the same schedule as your friends around home.”
