Noah Gragson is living his best life as he continues to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series for Front Row Motorsports. The most recent example of this is him catching air with the F-150 Lightning Switchgear.
Ford Performance recently gave Gragson control of the electric truck built specifically for off-road purposes. What did Gragson do? He connected with driver/content creator Brad DeBerti and took to the skies.
Gragson jumped the F-150 Lightning Switchgear off of DeBerti's dirt ramp, and he successfully landed it without issues. Of course, the Las Vegas native didn't simply show up at DeBerti's ranch and just hit the ramp. He did some practice first to get ready for the experience.
Noah Gragson posted a video on Instagram today showing him jumping the F-150 Lightning Switchgear.

This is not the first test featuring the Switchgear since Gragson took control of the truck. He also posted a video on his Instagram channel showing him sliding the electric truck around a wet parking lot.
What exactly is this electric truck? According to Ford Performance, it is the result of a collaboration with RTR Vehicles. The companies based the F-150 Lightning Switchgear on the RTR Ultimate Fun-Haver, which began life as the F-150 Supercrew 4x2 XLT belonging to drift icon Vaughn Gittin Jr.
The electric version sits on NITTO Ridge Grappler 37-inch tires. It features FOX 3-inch diameter internal bypass shock absorbers. It has "unique front and rear bumpers to improve approach and departure angles."
Other custom touches on the F-150 Lightning Switchgear include an independent double-wishbone suspension at the front, and a multilink independent suspension at the rear with coil-over shocks, a stabilizer bar, and custom control arms.
Ford Performance and RTR Vehicles also focused on off-road performance and durability with steel-fabricated rock rails and skid plates.
The electric truck, which joined Ford Performance's Demonstrator Program, made its debut to the public during the King of Hammers off-road racing event in January. Now, it has landed in Gragson's possession for some more off-road "testing."
