The NASCAR weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway marks the start of a new strategy from NASCAR and Amazon's Prime Video. The streamer will take over qualifying as part of the new TV deal.
Saturday morning's qualifying session (11 a.m. - 12.20 p.m. ET) will air exclusively on Prime Video. Atlanta is a drafting track, so it does not have practice.
While Prime Video's portion of the NASCAR schedule does not start until the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 25, the streamer will be the exclusive home of practice and qualifying for the first half of the NASCAR season.
The lone exception will be the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Fox Sports will broadcast every on-track session for the Cup Series that weekend while closing out its portion of the NASCAR schedule.
Prime Video's final weekend broadcasting practice and qualifying will be at Pocono Raceway on June 21-22. This race marks the end of Prime Video's five-race schedule.
Prime Video is available to Amazon Prime subscribers. The price per month is $14.99 or $7.49 for students. The annual price for Amazon Prime is $139 or $69 for students. Prime Video is also available as a standalone product for $8.99 per month.
EBT, Medicaid, SNAP, and other select government assistance recipients can qualify for Prime Access at $6.99 per month.
TNT Sports will take over practice and qualifying coverage starting with the night race at Atlanta Motor Speedway in June. All practice and qualifying sessions during the second half of the season will air on TNT Sports on Max and TruTV.
