NASCAR reveals top 5 drivers in All-Star Fan Vote

Kansas Speedway is in the rearview mirror, and now the attention is shifting to the All-Star Race. An important part of this weekend is the Fan Vote, which sends one driver to the All-Star Race on Sunday, May 18 (8 p.m. ET, FS1).

Racing fans have spent the past several weeks casting their votes for drivers who have not yet secured a spot in the All-Star Race with a race win, All-Star Race win, or Cup Series championship. The top five drivers receiving votes (in alphabetical order) are Shane van Gisbergen, Noah Gragson, Carson Hocevar, Ryan Preece, and Bubba Wallace.

Fans can continue to support their chosen driver throughout the week and into the weekend by voting up to five times per day per unique email address. The voting period will end at 11:59 p.m. ET on Saturday, May 17.

The winner of the All-Star Fan Vote gets one of the three remaining spots in the All-Star Race. The top two finishers in Sunday's All-Star Open (5 p.m. ET, FS1) will transfer to the main event. The winner of the Fan Vote will then join them while taking the last spot on the grid.

If the winner of the Fan Vote secures their spot by finishing first or second in the All-Star Open, the driver with the second-most votes will get the final spot on the grid.

Gragson being in the top five is no surprise. After all, fans voted him into the All-Star Race in both 2023 and '24. Erik Jones, who is among the top 10 in votes this season, won the Fan Vote in 2022.

The list of drivers with secure spots in the All-Star Race is extensive. It currently features William Byron, Daniel Suárez, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott, Tyler Reddick, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, Austin Cindric, Ryan Blaney, Alex Bowman, Austin Dillon, Harrison Burton, Chase Briscoe, Chris Buescher, Ross Chastain, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Josh Berry, and Kyle Busch.
