NASCAR Channel expands with new live shows, Rockingham race

NASCAR has expanded the programming lineup for its 24/7 racing channel on the free streaming app Tubi.

According to a press release, the NASCAR Channel now features a multicast of SiriusXM NASCAR Radio's "The Morning Drive."

Monday through Friday, racing fans can watch hosts Mike Bagley and Pete Pistone cover the biggest topics in racing, conduct interviews, and respond to questions from fans. "The Morning Drive" begins at 7 a.m. ET and runs until 10 p.m. ET.

Additionally, the NASCAR Channel will now provide free coverage of Saturday afternoon's ARCA Menards Series East race at Rockingham Speedway. FloRacing, which requires a paid subscription, will still provide coverage on its platform, but racing fans now have a free option to watch the next generation of racers.

The partnership between NASCAR and Tubi came to light back in January. The partners launched the NASCAR Channel on Jan. 29 and provided nonstop coverage of racing.

Since the launch, this channel has showcased live shows and documentaries from NASCAR Productions. It provided live coverage of the Hall of Fame induction ceremony and the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. This channel also began airing episodes of "Radioactive," the show that plays the "best" radio chatter from each race on the Cup Series schedule.

Each week leading up to the next race on the schedule, the NASCAR Channel has aired some classic races from history. Fans have been able to rewatch old Daytona 500s and events at tracks such as Bristol Motor Speedway, Darlington Raceway, and Martinsville Speedway.

Fans who missed the races when they aired live have also been able to open the Tubi app throughout the week and watch replays.

"I'm excited for the fans," said John Dahl, NASCAR SVP of Content, in a January statement. "They now have a free, easily accessed, 24/7 NASCAR destination that not only digs deep into our archives but provides the latest news and original storytelling.

"As the channel grows, we'll be adding more and more racing content that we're confident fans will appreciate. Many NASCAR fans already use Tubi, but we're looking forward to exposing more of them to that great platform too."
