The weather could be the biggest story of the day at Martinsville

Here comes bad weather, and what that means for today's race is anyone's guess.

Cup series qualifying is supposed to kick off at 12:05 p.m., but there's a cell of rain that's near the track. Check it out:

The Weather channel's hour-by-hour forecast show showers in the morning, but the chance of showers during race time diminishing.

It was sprinkling in Martinsville this morning, so the track will need time to get it dry. That would put qualifying in jeopardy since there's so little time between it and the race.

Of course, NASCAR could also elect to push the race back, and if it does, we'll have night racing at Martinsville for the first time ever.

We'll update this as the morning goes on.
