Luke Combs joins forces with Dale Jr., Richard Petty in new video

Luke Combs has just joined forces with two NASCAR Hall of Fame members. He has released a brand-new video featuring "The King" Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

The multi-platinum-selling country artist, who is a noted NASCAR fan, released a new single on Friday, "Back in the Saddle." This song talks about an old cowboy who dug himself out of the grave and put his pistol on his hip, but the video leans more into the racing world.

The video features Combs at Tri-County Speedway in North Carolina. He sings on the track before Dale Jr. walks onto the scene in full firesuit. The NASCAR champion then climbs into a Late Model featuring the iconic No. 8, and he pulls on his signature skeleton hand gloves.

Dale Jr. continues to race around the old track in his Late Model entry while Combs belts out the lyrics of "Back in the Saddle" from the flag stand.

Once the song is complete, Combs heads to the Late Model so that he can attempt to climb in and get some laps of his own. He does not get the opportunity. Petty interrupts the conversation to say, "Hey, guys, let me show you how it's done."

This music video is far from the only crossover between Combs and NASCAR. He has made numerous appearances at race tracks across the country for different reasons.

The most recent example was last season's race at Nashville Superspeedway. Columbia and the country singer joined forces to take over Bubba Wallace's No. 23 Toyota Camry XSE. The race car featured a camouflage scheme with Columbia logos on the sides and Combs's name on the hood.

Back in 2023, Combs's face and body also appeared on the hood of Wallace's No. 23 Toyota for the summer race at Daytona International Speedway. Wallace finished seventh at Nashville and 12th at Daytona while showcasing these schemes.

The crossovers have also featured multiple musical performances. Combs headlined the pre-race concert before the Daytona 500 in both 2021 and '22. The second performance, in particular, began with Combs receiving a custom acoustic guitar from Daytona International Speedway.
