Huge congratulations are in order for Joey and Brittany Logano! On Tuesday, the driver of the No. 22 Ford Mustang GT for Team Penske and his wife of nearly seven years announced that they would be welcoming a fifth member to the Logano family. And it’s a girl!
In a gender reveal fitting for a NASCAR family, three-year-old Hudson Logano drove a replica No. 22 Ford, while one-year-old Jameson sat shotgun. Hudson peeled off in the ride, leaving a trail of pink smoke behind him. Judging from the reaction of everyone in attendance — especially the woman to Brittany’s right, who we’re guessing is her sister — the reveal was a happy and welcome surprise. Meanwhile, little Hudson just seemed more impressed with his burnout skills.
For a little bit of backstory on the Loganos, Joey Logano and Britany Baca were childhood sweethearts who met at the Logano family ice rink in Charlotte, North Carolina. The couple got engaged on November 13, 2013, with Joey going full-on gearhead for the proposal: Wrapping trees with lights and parking Brittany’s dream car — a mint green Ford Thunderbird — in the woods. On December 13, 2014, Brittany Baca became Brittany Logano.
Brittany and Joey announced the birth of their first child, Hudson Joseph Logano, in January 2018. Only three months later, Hudson made his Victory Lane debut, and later that year, he got to watch his dad win the NASCAR Cup Series Championship. What an introduction to the sport of NASCAR!
On May 7, 2020, the Loganos welcomed their second son, Jameson Jett Logano. He may be sitting in the passenger seat for now, but he’ll probably be pulling off sweet burnouts like his big bro in no time.
