Kyle Larson is going a very long way just so he can get on the race track now

Fresh off the announcement of his engagement to longtime girlfriend Katelyn Sweet, Kyle Larson and the family are spending the holidays in New Zealand.

Apparently it's a hotbed for off-season racing as legendary NASCAR veteran Tony Stewart was just racing there a few weeks ago (though he had his run cut short after crashing his No. 14 sprint car.) Now, Larson is slated to race on the same track.

Larson was in New Zealand last summer and was scheduled to partake in a local race, but due to some inclement weather he was unable to do so, according to the New Zealand Herald. Either New Zealand has some incredible race tracks that are attracting drivers from around the globe, or these fellas just can't go two-to-three months without racing. Whatever the case may be, it's pretty cool the lengths these guys will go to to race cars.

We wish Larson and his family the best on the remainder of their trip and we hope Larson has better results at the track than Stewart did.
