Kyle Larson felt like he had an opportunity to win on Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway after leading for 38 laps, and he was fourth late in the race when Kurt Busch slid into him.

Busch lost control of his car, which resulted in the caution flag coming out late and forced overtime. Truex won in overtime, while Larson finished in 10th.

Busch apologized to Larson immediately after the race and said he was sorry for causing the wreck. He also apologized on Twitter and said he was glad Larson at least finished in the top 10.

Larson said he felt like he had a better car than eventual winner Martin Truex Jr., but Truex and his team didn't make mistakes.

"Last week was probably the first week in a long time he hasn't been the most dominate car," Larson said. "He definitely wasn't dominant today. ... Their team just executed really good."

Larson made two mistakes on pit road that affected his standing, and the wreck ended any chance he had of winning. He'll look to get back on track this Sunday at Talladega.
