Kyle Busch makes his return to the Craftsman Truck Series with five more starts this season. His part-time schedule with Spire Motorsports features some familiar favorites, as well as two tracks where he has not competed in this series.
According to Spire Motorsports, Busch's schedule begins with this weekend's Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. It continues with North Wilkesboro Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Nashville Superspeedway, and Watkins Glen International.
While Busch has plenty of experience at both North Wilkesboro Speedway and Watkins Glen International in Cup Series competition, he has never taken on either track in the Truck Series. This season will mark his first start at both as he tries to push toward 70 career Truck wins.

Busch will work with a new crew chief at these two tracks, as well as Nashville. He will have former Sam Hunt Racing crew chief Allen Hart calling the shots for the No. 07 team. Veteran crew chief Brian Pattie will be Busch's crew chief at Atlanta and Charlotte.
"With my long-standing relationship with Jeff (Dickerson) and having a lot of my former employees still working on the Craftsman Truck Series teams at Spire Motorsports, it's cool to be able to hop back in their Chevy Silverados five times and work towards filling those trophy cases," said Busch in a press release.
"I still really enjoy being a part of the process of evaluating their equipment and being a mentor to the young drivers in Spire's lineup. It's fun trying to help speed up their learning curve by passing on a few pointers here and there."
Busch may take on two new tracks this season, but he will also return to three where he has extensive success. For example, he has seven wins at Atlanta in the Truck Series, including last season's race.
Busch has only made two Truck Series starts at Nashville (2010-11). He started from the pole in both races, led a combined 271 laps of the possible 300, and won both times.
The two-time Cup Series champion has enjoyed even more success in Truck races at Charlotte. He has made 15 starts and posted 14 top-10 finishes. He has celebrated eight wins at NASCAR's home track.
Busch's resume indicates that he will also be in contention for wins at both Watkins Glen and North Wilkesboro despite having no previous Truck starts at them. He has seven wins in 33 short track starts and one win in three road course starts.
"My schedule will consist of some tracks where I've had a lot of success in the Truck Series, like Atlanta, Charlotte, and Nashville but also two tracks that I've never raced at in a truck -- North Wilkesboro and Watkins Glen," Busch said.
"So, I'm looking forward to hopefully adding a couple more tracks to the list of places where I've won across my Truck Series career."
