The long-running cartoon "King of the Hill" returns to TV this August but it will first head to Iowa Speedway for a double-duty NASCAR weekend.
According to a press release, "King of the Hill" will partner with Iowa native Joey Gase for both the Xfinity Series and Cup Series races at the .875-mile track. The cartoon will take over the No. 53 Chevrolet Camaro on Saturday and the No. 66 Ford Mustang on Sunday with a special scheme featuring Hank Hill, Bobby Hill, Boomhauer, Bill, and other characters.
"I am excited to have King of the Hill not only on my Xfinity car, but also my Cup car, at my home track, Iowa Speedway," Gase said in a press release. "It is a show that I have been watching since I was a teen, and it's going to be really cool to help them set off their brand-new season on Hulu."

"King of the Hill" first aired in 1997 as viewers got their first introduction to the Hill family and their friends. This show ran for 13 seasons before ultimately ending in May 2010. It will now return on Aug. 4, 2025, with the first episode of its 14th season.
"King of the Hill" starred Mike Judge as Hank Hill, Kathy Najimy as Peggy Hill, and Pamela Adlon as Bobby Hill. Other key actors included Stephen Root, Toby Huss, Johnny Hardwick, and Lauren Tom.
Gase will now put the cartoon on full display as he returns to a track where he has extensive experience. He has competed in 18 Xfinity Series races at Iowa Speedway since the 2011 season while driving for multiple teams. He finished 20th in his debut at the .875-mile track before posting more top-20 finishes in 2017, 2018, and 2019. His best career finish at the track was 16th last season.
Gase will hit the track on Saturday morning, first for Xfinity practice and qualifying at 11 a.m. ET (CW app). He will then move to the Cup Series car for practice and qualifying at 1:30 p.m. ET (truTV).
