Kevin Harvick didn't finish the Daytona 500 and this week, in Atlanta, he aimed to make up ground in the points, and was dominating. After qualifying in pole position, he was in full control. Winning the first two stages at Atlanta Motor Speedway, he practically led from start to finish. And then disaster struck.

On his final pit stop, he carried too much speed in the pits and was penalized during a yellow flag and was forced to restart in 35th place with only 11 laps to go. On pace to sweep the entire weekend, a mistake at the very end cost him dearly.

Harvick ended up finishing 9th, salvaging as many points as possible after such a huge let down.
