Keanu Reeves, the famous actor and musician, will take on a different challenge this weekend. He will join a large lineup for two races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Oct. 5-6.

Reeves, who did some of his own driving stunts in the "John Wick" films, will now compete in the Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Cup North America series. He will be one of more than 30 drivers competing on the 14-turn road course at the historic track.

"I just want to say, 'Thank you,' and my appreciation for the opportunity to race in the Toyota GR Cup at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway," Reeves said in an Instagram video.

According to the entry list, Reeves will drive the No. 92 Toyota GR86 for Eagles Canyon Racing powered by Fast Track. He will join fellow guest driver Cody Jones, a notable member of the Dude Perfect YouTube content creators.

Reeves will have multiple sessions behind the wheel of the identical GR86 race cars. The schedule will begin on Thursday, Oct. 3, with two practice sessions. He will return to the track on Friday, Oct. 4, for the first qualifying session.

Reeves' first race action will be on Saturday, Oct. 5. He will take on Race 1 at 9:50 a.m. ET. The second qualifying session and the second race will both take place on Sunday, Oct. 6. Race 2 will be at 11:55 a.m. ET.

Fans who want to tune in for the Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Cup North America can stream the events live on the series website.

The weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway will not be the first time Reeves has competed against a variety of drivers. He also did so back in 2009 when he took on the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race in Long Beach, California.

While veteran racers Al Unser Jr. and Johnny Benson dominated the professional category, Reeves won the celebrity category after finishing fourth overall. He outdrove such names as skateboarder Danny Way, actor Adrien Brody, comedian Carlos Mencia, and Raven-Symone.

Reeves returned to the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race in 2010. He faced off with such celebrities as Christian Slater, Patrick Dempsey, and Brody. He did not go back-to-back as Brian Austin Green took the 2010 celebrity title.
