DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Ram has moved one step closer to Craftsman Truck Series competition. The OEM has announced it will partner with Kaulig Racing.
Ram Trucks and Kaulig Racing announced the partnership on Saturday afternoon ahead of the Cup Series regular-season finale. According to a media session, Kaulig Racing will be the Ram factory team starting with the 2026 season.
The Trophy Hunting team will field five trucks as it continues branching out into NASCAR. This will require Kaulig Racing to majorly expand while hiring around 50 new employees.
"We're going big," team owner Matt Kaulig told media members on Saturday. "So, that was our promise to Ram that we're going to do everything big. We're going to do it different than everybody else. And we're going to have a lot of fun with it."
This move is a reunion for Team President Chris Rice, who spent time in the Truck Series prior to joining forces with Kaulig to build an Xfinity Series program.

"This partnership represents far more than a new chapter in Kaulig Racing's history, it's a union of shared values," Kaulig said in a press release.
"Over the past decade, our team has built a legacy rooted in performance, integrity, and giving back to the community. To now join forces as the anchor team for Ram's return to NASCAR is both an honor and a responsibility. Together, we're ready to set a new standard on race day and in the impact we make off the track."
According to Ram, they will not reveal the drivers just yet. However, the OEM partner promised some "crazy, wild" things as it works with its official factory team.
As Kaulig and Rice mentioned to media members, they tried to keep this project under wraps leading up to the announcement, so they could not speak to drivers or other interested parties.
Now that they have "gone to market" as the factory team, so to speak, Kaulig Racing can present an opportunity to drivers, crew chiefs, and other personnel who would want to join this massive undertaking.
"This partnership is a multi-year deal with fully sponsored trucks that brings our employees the confidence that we're here," Ty Norris, Kaulig Racing Chief Business Officer, said. "We're not going anywhere. We're going to be racing.
"And in this industry, there's so many times where you're going from year to year worrying about whether or not the sponsors are coming back or where you stand, and this, the ability to put a stake in the ground and know that these employees are going to be here, the company's going to be here, we have partners who are going to keep us for years, moving on for years, that's one of the reasons why (we made this move)."
