Justin Allgaier scored his 26th career Xfinity Series win on Saturday afternoon at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He also tied a NASCAR record in the process.
The JR Motorsports driver notched his ninth consecutive season with at least one win. This tied an Xfinity Series record currently held by Kyle Busch and Mark Martin. All he needs to do is win one race next season to break this tie and put his name in the record books.

The driver of the No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet had to battle Aric Almirola during the final two stages, but he also had some dominant moments at the Nevada track. He led 102 laps and scored a stage win. He had a lead of nearly eight seconds at one point.
The reigning champion then took care of business in the closing laps when it mattered and put the No. 7 into victory lane for the ninth consecutive season.
Allgaier scored three wins early in his Xfinity career, but he began this current streak in 2017 after back-to-back winless seasons. He won at Phoenix Raceway in the spring and then at Chicagoland Speedway in the fall.
Allgaier won five times in 2018, once in 2019, three times in 2020, twice in 2021, three times in 2022, four times in 2023, and twice last season. He made the Championship 4 six times during this winning streak, and he finally captured his first title last season.
Martin's nine-season winning streak began in 1992 when he made 14 starts and won once. It continued with seven wins (14 starts) in 1993, three in 1994, three in 1995, six in 1996, six in 1997, two in 1998, six in 1999, and five in 2000. Martin never started more than 15 races in any of these seasons.
Busch, the winningest driver in Xfinity Series history, began his streak in 2013. He won 12 of the 26 races he started.
Busch continued the streak with seven wins in 2014, six in 2015, 10 in 2016, five in 2017, one in 2018, four in 2019, one in 2020, and five in 2021. The 2021 season, in particular, featured the Las Vegas native winning all five of his starts for Joe Gibbs Racing.
Now that Allgaier has tied this record, he can move up another important leaderboard. Saturday's win at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was the 26th of his career. If he wins one more race, he will tie Jeff Burton for ninth on the all-time Xfinity wins list.
