Jesse Love dipped his driving shoes into the Cup Series last weekend at Bristol. Now, he will return to gain more experience while driving for Beard Motorsports.
The California native will take over the No. 62 Beard Motorsports Chevrolet for two upcoming races. His first start for the team will be at Texas Motor Speedway on May 4. The second will be at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 27.
C4 Ultimate Energy will serve as Love's primary sponsor for both events, which will mark the first starts for Beard Motorsports at Texas Motor Speedway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The family-owned team has made 30 Cup Series starts while showcasing a variety of drivers. This includes Brendan Gaughan, Noah Gragson, Austin Hill, Justin Allgaier, Parker Retzlaff, and Anthony Alfredo.
Thirteen of these starts have been at Daytona International Speedway. Thirteen have been at Talladega Superspeedway. The other four starts were split between Michigan International Speedway, the Charlotte Roval, Atlanta Motor Speedway, and the Daytona Road Course.
Alfredo will make the team's 14th start at Talladega one week before Love takes over the No. 62 Chevrolet.
"We are very excited to be able to expand our racing program and visit tracks that our new to us," said Amie Beard-Deja, executive vice president of Beard Motorsports. "When my dad started this program, we wanted to focus on the superspeedway.
"Our plan was to make that our niche and to do it well, and we feel like we have been able to do that very thing. During the last couple of seasons, we had partners that were interested in races outside of those that take place at Daytona and Talladega and that presented a different challenge and we enjoyed it.
"We have been watching Jesse Love in his racing endeavors and have certainly been impressed with what he has been doing so it was a no-brainer for us to take on the challenge of preparing cars for and competing in the races that will take place this season at Texas and Indianapolis."
