Four drivers were eliminated after Sunday's race at Dover, but Ricky Stenhouse Jr. wasn't one of them. Stenhouse was close to being eliminated entering the race, but he was able to earn points during the first stage that helped move him to the Round of 12.

There was an incident early in the race that helped Stenhouse earn points in the first stage. Jeffrey Earnhardt had difficulty entering pit road, and he crashed into barrels at the pit entrance. The red flag came out to clean up the mess, which benefitted Stenhouse and the leaders.

Stenhouse eventually moved on to the Round of 12, while Ryan Newman, Kurt Busch, Austin Dillon and Kasey Kahne were eliminated.

Stenhouse has his work cut out for him over the next three races, but he can advance again if he can win a race during the next three weeks.
