Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new trailer for Brad Pitt's Formula One movie, "F1," and provided a glimpse at the intense racing action.
The 32-second teaser does not feature dialogue. Instead, it relies on other sound effects while showing the more intense moments of the upcoming feature film. The camera showed a race from Pitt's perspective behind the wheel before shifting to show his eyes as he navigated the turns.
Multiple moments in the "F1" teaser trailer showed the accidents that will unfold in the film. Cars slid through the gravel in an incident, pieces broke off after contact, and one vehicle even burst into flames.
The teaser trailer did not provide an exact release date for "F1," a movie filmed for IMAX screens. Instead, it just said, "Only in theaters Summer 2025."
While Warner Bros. Pictures and Apple TV+ have not provided a full trailer for "F1" in the months leading up to the film's release, fans have gleaned some information from teasers and behind-the-scenes footage.
One prominent example occurred at November's Las Vegas Grand Prix. F1 fans were present to watch Max Verstappen capture his fourth world championship, but they also witnessed Pitt and his stunt double filming a scene on the purpose-built track.
The scene featured Pitt's character, Sonny Hayes, stumbling away from his crashed race car in Las Vegas. A safety car raced up to the scene of the incident as Hayes collapsed onto the pavement.
As behind-the-scenes footage showed, multiple people were on-site for the scene. Pitt and his stunt double were both involved in the scene of Hayes falling, which featured a safety mat. A camera mounted on his helmet provided a first-person perspective of Hayes collapsing.
Another part of the filming process featured a cameraman standing in front of Pitt as he stumbled away from the crash. This provided an up-close look at the veteran actor in the immediate aftermath.
