Indiana Jones is set to take on Formula 1 as the open-wheel racing series heads to Austin, Texas.
According to an announcement, the BWT Alpine F1 Team will have a special livery highlighting the explorer portrayed by Harrison Ford. However, this version of Indiana Jones is actually from the upcoming video game developed by MachineGames.
The in-game character model for "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle" is a young Ford, but standout voice actor Troy Baker provides the dialogue.

The F1 car will not be the only showcase of the upcoming video game, which will be available in stores and on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service on Dec. 9. The team will also have special Indiana Jones firesuits to promote the latest release from the developer behind the recent "Wolfenstein" games.
The video game scheme will go on display on Oct. 18-20 as F1 heads to Circuit of the Americas. The series will take on the Texas road course for the 12th time as Max Verstappen tries to win for the fourth consecutive time.
Pierre Gasly, who signed a multi-year extension with Alpine F1, led the lineup during last season's trip to COTA as he finished sixth. Esteban Ocon did not finish due to a crash.
This weekend's trip to Circuit of the Americas is not the first time that Alpine F1 Team has showcased unique schemes to promote an upcoming media project. The team also did so at the Belgian GP at Spa-Francorchamps in late July.
Ocon made his 147th start while driving an entry featuring a "Deadpool & Wolverine" livery, which featured a red base with yellow claw marks. Ocon also had a special Deadpool helmet for the race weekend, which he wore while delivering a ninth-place finish.
This partnership made sense considering that "Deadpool & Wolverine" actor Ryan Reynolds and his Maximum Effort Investments, have a minority ownership stake in the BWT Alpine F1 Team.
