How to watch Quaker State 400: Start time, TV info, weather


HAMPTON, Ga. -- Qualifying is complete, so now it is time for Cup Series teams to take on the Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway in Georgia.

This is the 18th race of the season. It marks the 123rd time that Cup teams have competed at the Georgia track and the eighth time since the reconfiguration turned it into a drafting-style track.

With the race moving back to the summer, it will take place at night. Here's the important information fans need to know.

Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway information

Weather: The WeatherUnderground forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of 83 degrees and an 8% chance of rain at the start of the Cup Series race. A stray thunderstorm is possible.

Green flag time: Kyle Petty, Michael Waltrip, and EchoPark Automotive's Dino Bernacchi will give the command to fire engines at 7:08 p.m. ET. The starter will wave the green flag at 7:19 p.m. ET.

Starting lineup: Joey Logano won the pole for the first time this season. Full starting lineup.

Pre-race: The garage opens at 4 p.m. ET. Driver introductions will take place at 6:30 p.m. ET. Pre-race coverage begins on TNT at 6:30 p.m. ET. Race coverage continues on TNT at 7 p.m. ET. Sports on Max will provide streaming coverage.

The invocation will be at 7 p.m. ET. The national anthem will be performed at 7:01 p.m. ET.

Stages: The race will consist of three stages. The first stage ends at Lap 60. The second stage ends at Lap 160. The scheduled end of the race is Lap 260.

Past winners: Multiple active Cup Series drivers have celebrated wins at EchoPark Speedway, but they remain split between the two track configurations.

Logano is the defending Quaker State 400 winner. He has two wins at this track since the reconfiguration, as does Byron. Chase Elliott, Daniel Suarez, and Christopher Bell have each won once since the reconfiguration.

The drivers with wins on the old reconfiguration are Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski (two wins), Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Busch (two wins).

Playoff picture: The Cup Series drivers have completed 17 points-paying races. Ten drivers have won their way into the playoffs.

Daytona 500 winner Byron leads the standings by 54 points. Three-time winners Kyle Larson, Hamlin, and Bell are just behind him.

The other drivers with a win this season are Blaney, Ross Chastain, Chase Briscoe, Logano, Josh Berry, and Austin Cindric. Alex Bowman is on the cutline, but he is currently in the playoffs on points.
