Hendrick Motorsports is taking a deep dive into 40 years of NASCAR success with a new book completely filled cover-to-cover with stories and photos.
Available for preorder on the Hendrick website -- fittingly enough, for $40 -- this book features images from NASCAR photographer Nigel Kinrade, as well as exclusive images from the Hendrick Motorsports archive. NASCAR journalist Ben White provides the copy while telling the story of an organization that first won in 1984 and went on to top 300 wins.
40 years of history. 40 years of stories.

The list of stories includes the following examples:
- Geoff Bodine scoring the team's first win at Martinsville
- The involvement in the creation of the film "Days of Thunder"
- Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon and his pit crew, The Rainbow Warriors
- Gordon winning the 1997 Daytona 500 with teammates Terry Labonte and Ricky Craven finishing second and third
- Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus teaming up to win seven Cup Series championships
- Hendrick Motorsports and the Earnhardts
- Winning 300 races in the Cup Series. William Byron scored the 300th win.
- The organization's heavy involvement in the Garage 56 Le Mans program
The 40-year retrospective is expected to ship in October 2024 as all four drivers in the Hendrick stable compete in the Cup Series playoffs.
The 2024 season has been a celebration for team owner Rick Hendrick and his employees, one that began with Byron winning the rain-postponed Daytona 500. The driver of the No. 24 has since gone on to win two more races this season. This includes the short track race at Martinsville Speedway where all four of the organization's cars featured special cherry red schemes.
All four Hendrick drivers have won this season. Alex Bowman won on the streets of Chicago, his first win since Las Vegas in 2022. Chase Elliott won at Texas Motor Speedway, his first win since the 2022 playoff race at Talladega.
Kyle Larson leads this group of drivers with four wins this season. He won the spring race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kansas Speedway, and Sonoma Raceway before capturing his first Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
This win at Indianapolis was Larson's second crown jewel. His first was the 2021 Coca-Cola 600, a race that helped Hendrick Motorsports set the record for the most Cup Series wins (269) in NASCAR history.
